 Tia L. Harmon, Ph.D.

As a graduate from the Morehouse School of Medicine, Dr. Tia Harmon performs research involving a novel adjuvant therapy for triple negative breast cancer.  In addition to being a champion for cancer research and empowering survivors, Dr. Harmon's greatest joy is parenting her two children.  Her daughter has recently been accepted into medical school and her son, who recently graduated from Mercer University is currently pursuing additional studies at Morehouse College.   Dr. Tia has been a civil rights advocate and a vocal ally for people with disabilities for many years.  She is experienced in navigating the complexities of learning differences  in secondary and post-secondary settings and is force in striving for better for everyone.

The Young Americans with Disabilities Association is pleased to have Dr. Harmon serve on the Board of Directors.
